PayPerPost = $$$

I surprised even myself. My PayPerPost income to date is about $105. I thought I would be making about $30 a month at most, which I would have been happy with as ANYTHING helps. But all the writing opportunities just keep pouring in. Last night, after I uploaded my condo pics, I decided to check what's out there in my PPP account. There was a list of about 10 new things I haven't seen yet. When I was sick on Monday, I decided to check it out then just for the hell of it (even though I wanted to go back to bed, didn't feel like typing much), and saw there wasn't anything new to write about. So I then thought, oh they figured me out! I've been writing so much, they are cutting me off for the month." but I guess not, as there is still money to be made here.

Not all money is in my PayPal yet, but the posts have been approved. It's just a matter of time when they start trickling in my Paypal. Based on the payment schedule, I should have all of the $105 in about 3 more weeks.

Since I planned on having the first $100 pay for my contract ice time this summer, I will be borrowing yet from the emergency fund again. I turned in the contract over the weekend and paid for it with my Mastercard for now. Since the PPP money won't be transferred fully for about 3 weeks and the Mastercard bill due in about a week and a half, I will borrow from my EF for now to cover it. Then when all the PPP money is on paypal, I will move the $100 in its entirety back to my EF.

So thanks again to D and Melissa for telling me about PPP. And for those who are keeping their blogs fairly updated and have a regular readership...I encourage you guys to do the same. A post is only about 5-10 minutes of your time, maybe even less. Now that's what I call a quick buck!

I was shocked too when I got above $100... I've got $23 so far but in 2 weeks the rest should start rolling in. I'm glad that it's helped us all so much!

wow, that's quite a lot of money! I've debated whether to start PPP once my blog hits 90 days old (just 2 more days!) ... something to think about for sure!

hey violet - sorry i didn't reply to your prior comment. I would love to help you with your blog. feel free to email me =)

melissa - i agree with you! I <3 easy money (well as long as it's legal. haha)

krystal - yep you should really think about doing it=) you have a good audience already and you have great writing skills. Some opps are for Canadian bloggers only too, which sucks for the rest of us....lol ;)

I am also debating it for some fun money.

I've never started doing PPP.
I've considered it, that's for sure. But I never really knew if that was something I wanted to do.
I like easy money, that's for sure, but it just always seems dirty somehow.
Maybe I should give it a try.

Jagular, I googled PPP and some bloggers feel it is "dirty". However, I only choose to do opps that seem to apply to me or stuff that I would try myself (i.e. snapfish coupons, vacation packages, prepaid calling cards). There are some really funky ones out there like help lines for Drug Abuse, surgical procedures...lol. The reason some bloggers feel it is dirty money is because back then PPP didn't require bloggers to use disclosure such as "this is a sponsored post". So their readers couldn't differentiate whether the blogger was really posting a normal post from his opinion, or if it was sponsored. But now PPP requires disclosure and i guess this makes things more positive. But i guess in a way, using PPP can make it seem like you are "selling out" (like how a hit song gets on TRL, lol).

I personally don't see anything wrong with it. You are basically just selling ads on your blog. If your reader doesn't wanna read it, they don't have to *shrug*.

Way to go NIU. The money is there why not have a piece?

Like you responded to Jagular, just take the things that relate to you. Otherwise you will be left with the guilt of misleading. Which would suck royally!

This money is going to be a huge help for your future. And a heck of a lot easier than a part time job. Where you need clothes, food and transportation.
